The ToolKit‚Ñ¢ Button Manager and the Field Manager solve major inconveniences created by the HyperCard button and field dialog boxes.
One of the most irritating violations of good human interface in HyperCard are these dialogs. I would have thought they would have been fixed in 2.2 but instead we are gifted with the "Preview" field on the dialog, which is essentially useless if I want to change the font.
It is bad enough that you cannot do everything you need to do for a button or field from a single dialog box but when you access another dialog you are NOT returned to the original dialog. Furthermore, I usually do not want the button "selected" when I am done changing its characteristics.
Now, with the ToolKit‚Ñ¢ button and field managers you can change any property from a single modeless window and return to your work with the option of having the object selected or not. These palettes let you select and change any button or field as well as create new ones and they come as a single accessory module.
